Job summary

Ampersand Therapy is hiring a full-time Paraprofessional for a K-12 school district in Raymore, MO. You will provide 1:1 or small group support to students with significant needs and help them engage in classroom activities.

This role starts ASAP with a full-time school-year schedule and collaboration with teachers and therapists, including documentation and behavior-support reinforcement.

Qualifications

• 60 college credits or ParaPro/ParaPathways certification or 20-hour substitute certificate.
• Experience with children or individuals with significant needs preferred.
• Compassion, patience, and strong communication skills required.
• Ability to follow individualized education and behavior support plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 or small group support to students with significant support needs.
• Assist students with academics, communication, and daily living skills.
• Implement behavior support plans under classroom direction.
• Support mobility, transitions, and classroom participation.
