Job summary

Mukilteo School District Endeavour Elementary - Mukilteo, WA is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Paraeducator. This 3-hour-per-day, 180-day position supports a student with 1:1 needs under a teacher's direction. The role starts Sep 1, 2026 and runs through the school year.

The successful candidate will work under the direction of the teacher in the classroom with a student requiring 1:1 support, and will assist with planning, supervision, behavior management, and basic health and safety tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old and hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet one of the education/certification options listed in the ad.
• Desire and aptitude to work with students.
• Ability to interact positively with students, supervisors, and staff.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to manage student behavior effectively.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines amidst interruptions.
• Ability to operate standard classroom equipment.
• Provide for the physical, health and safety needs of students.
• Knowledge of computer applications used to assist with student learning.
• Willingness to participate in training and skill development.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher with daily supervision of students to maintain a safe, positive learning environment.
• Administer tests, collect data, update records, and assess progress under direction of teachers.
• Monitor and manage student behavior; share observations with staff.
• Implement strategies for diverse student needs and growth.
• Provide clerical support and prepare classroom materials.
• Administer first aid, medical assistance and personal care as needed.
• Provide physical assistance and lifting for students as required.
• Track medications as authorized and supervise crossing guard duties before/after school.
• Attend trainings and meetings to support school initiatives.
• Maintain consistent presence at the assigned site and adhere to hours.
