Job summary

Mukilteo School District is seeking a 1:1 Paraeducator at Lake Stickney Elementary in Lynnwood, WA to support a student in a general education setting. Position runs 6.25 hours/day, 180 days/year, with duties including supervision, instructional support, and safety assistance.

The role requires minimum WA paraeducator qualifications and experience with children; preferred experience with elementary students and behavior support. Start date is immediate.

Qualifications

• Be at least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Hold an associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university, or 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at the 100 level or higher, or completed an apprenticeship as paraeducator, or PASB-approved assessments.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher with daily supervision of students to maintain a safe, positive learning environment.
• Monitor and manage student behavior; share observations with teachers and staff.
• Provide 1:1 support to a student under the classroom teacher's direction.
• Assist with lunch/recess supervision and crossing guard duties before/after school.
