Job summary

La Center School District in La Center, WA, is hiring two Paraeducator II (1:1) positions to support Life Skills students at La Center High School.

Under the supervision of the building principal, you will provide academic, social, physical, and behavioral support, following IEP goals and working within CSP/SLC settings.

The role requires flexibility, teamwork, and ongoing training; hours are 6 hours 40 minutes with a noon lunch; fingerprinting and background check are required.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent with one of the listed options.
• Willingness to complete paraeducator certification and related training.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain one upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Adapt activities and materials to support participation of students in special education.
• Provide instructional services to implement IEP goals under supervision.
• Perform student observation and assess progress; provide feedback.
• Attend to the physical needs of students, including moving and daily care.
• Provide 1:1 student support and implement behavioral plans.
• Maintain data collection and assist with progress reports.
