Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have earned 72 college credits from an accredited institution, have a college degree, or pass ETS.
• Experience with students in individual and small group settings.
• Knowledge of education fundamentals; current curriculum experience preferred.
• Experience and/or training with students in a classroom setting.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage large groups while ensuring safety.
• Punctuality and consistent attendance.
• Willingness to assist students with personal management (toileting, feeding, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Individualized 1:1 life skills support tailored to the student’s IEP.
• Provide behavior and academic support, collaborating with the case manager.
• Supervise and coordinate with staff to meet student goals.
• Promote student independence in tasks and actions.
• Follow Behavior Intervention Plans and de-escalation procedures.
• Complete Safety Care Behavioral Training and maintain safety.
• Maintain regular communication with supervising teacher/case manager.
• Adapt to personal care and instructional needs as required.
