Job summary

Schweitzer is seeking an Instructional Assistant III to provide 1:1 support for a student in a special education program. The role emphasizes assisting with learning and communication needs and maintaining a safe, supportive classroom environment.

This 6.5-hour daily position (0.8125 FTE) requires reliability, flexibility, and adherence to district policies. Experience with ED or learning-disabled students and ability to work with groups is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must attach High School Diploma or equivalent and one document from A or B.
• A/B tests: CBEST or IA Proficiency Test required, regardless of education.
• Foreign degree/transcripts require course work evaluation for US equivalency.

Responsibilities

• Support ED students and students with learning/communication handicaps.
• Assist individual students and groups in classroom activities.
• Work under supervision to implement instructional plans and behavior supports.
