Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or evidence of meeting Massachusetts DESE Highly Qualified requirements; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of experience working with children.
  • Post-secondary training in an educational setting with students of varying abilities strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and compliance with FERPA/IDEA and district policies.
  • Support academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and daily living needs under licensed staff.
  • Provide instructional support in various settings to reinforce instruction and promote independence.
  • Assist with implementing teacher-created lesson plans, accommodations, interventions, and assessments.
  • Support IEPs, 504 Plans, and behavior plans as assigned.
  • Collect and document student performance data to support decisions and progress monitoring.
  • Implement positive behavioral interventions and supports using district practices.
