Job summary

Oxford Public Schools seeks an Instructional Aide for the Middle School Intensive Learning Center to support licensed staff in delivering instructional programs and individualized student supports. You will assist with academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and personal care tasks to foster student independence and engagement.

The role includes data collection, collaboration on IEP/504 plans, and helping with transitions, field trips, and daily activities.

Qualifications

Associate's degree or evidence of meeting MA DESE Highly Qualified requirements; bachelor's degree preferred.
Minimum of two years of experience working with children.
Post-secondary training and experience in educational settings with students of varying abilities preferred.
Successful completion of CPI, Safety-Care, or other district-approved physical restraint training may be required.

Responsibilities

Support academic, behavioral, social-emotional, communication, functional, and daily living needs under licensed staff.
Assist with instructional activities, accommodations, modifications, interventions, and assessments.
Collect and document student data to support instructional decision-making and progress monitoring.
Implement positive behavioral interventions and supports per district practices.
Promote student independence and engagement across educational settings.
Assist with arrival, dismissal, transitions, lunch, recess, specials, field trips, and school-sponsored activities.
Maintain safe, organized learning environments and assist with preparation of instructional materials.
