Job summary

Oxford Public Schools' Middle School seeks a 1:1 Instructional Aide to support students under licensed staff. The role provides instructional, behavioral, social-emotional, and personal care support to students, helping them engage and participate across settings.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or evidence of meeting the Massachusetts DESE Highly Qualified requirements; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years of experience working with children.
• Post-secondary training and experience in an educational setting with students of varying abilities preferred.
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) or Safety-Care training may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional, behavioral, social-emotional, and personal care support to students under licensed staff.
• Assist in implementing teacher-developed lesson plans and individualized supports.
• Support implementation of IEPs and 504 Plans and related behavior plans.
• Collect and document academic, behavioral, and other student performance data for progress monitoring.
• Promote student independence and safe self-advocacy across settings.
