Job summary

Serenity, LLC in New Jersey is hiring Direct Support Professionals to provide one-on-one in-home and community-based support for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will assist with daily living tasks, support community participation, and help clients achieve personal goals.

Responsibilities include transportation, documentation, and promoting independence, with a focus on dignity and choice. Flexible shifts, paid training, and opportunities for career growth are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable, insured vehicle.
• Ability to pass required background checks and DDD screenings.
• Smartphone or computer access for documentation.
• Experience supporting individuals with I/DD preferred but not required. CPR and First Aid training will be provided if needed.

Responsibilities

• Support community activities, appointments, errands, and social opportunities.
• Teach daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and shopping.
• Assist with personal care and medication reminders as authorized.
• Provide safe transportation.
• Follow individualized service plans and person-centered goals.
• Complete timely service notes and required documentation.
• Promote independence, dignity, choice, and self-advocacy.
