Job summary

Serenity, LLC is hiring Direct Support Professionals to provide one-on-one support for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in home and community settings. Competitive hourly pay ranges from $21.50 to $26.50, with flexible full-time, part-time, and per diem schedules.

The role emphasizes teaching daily living skills, safe transportation, documentation, and adherence to person-centered plans, with opportunities for growth and meaningful, independent work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• At least 18 years old.
• A valid driver's license and insured vehicle.
• Ability to pass required background checks and DDD screenings.
• Smartphone or computer access for documentation.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• Experience supporting individuals with I/DD is preferred but not required; CPR and First Aid training provided if needed.

Responsibilities

• Support community activities, appointments, errands, and social opportunities.
• Teach daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and shopping.
• Assist with personal care and medication reminders as authorized.
• Provide safe transportation.
• Follow individualized service plans and person-centered goals.
• Complete timely service notes and required documentation.
• Promote independence, dignity, choice, and self-advocacy.
