Job summary

Reynoldsburg City School District is seeking a 1:1 Specialized Paraprofessional to provide dedicated health and student support for an assigned student. Under licensed staff supervision, you will implement IEPs, monitor health needs, and assist with transitions and daily routines.

This full-time position requires Ohio credentials such as a Educational Aide Permit, CPR/First Aid, and specialized training in health care procedures.

Qualifications

• Ohio Educational Aide Permit required or eligible.
• ESEA credential (associate degree, 48+ semester hours, or ParaPro score 456+ within 60 days of hire).
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
• Medication administration and Bloodborne Pathogens training completed.
• Credential as CNA/MA/DSP or equivalent pediatric healthcare experience.
• BCI and FBI background checks completed as required by Ohio law.

Responsibilities

• Provides constant 1:1 supervision and support to the assigned student throughout the school day, including transitions, lunch, electives, specials, and bus transportation.
• Implements the student’s IEP and BIP with high fidelity under supervision of licensed staff.
• Collects and records precise, student-specific behavioral, academic, and care data to assist professionals in monitoring progress.
• Scaffolds, modifies, and adapts classroom assignments to meet the student’s learning, sensory, and physical needs.
