Job summary

Twinsburg City School District is seeking an Instructional Paraprofessional - 1:1, under supervision supporting certified staff and helping students meet instructional goals in the classroom. This role emphasizes assisting with reading, math, language arts, and computer literacy, supervising during lunch and field trips, and maintaining confidential records.

Candidates should have at least a high school diploma, Ohio Educational Aide Permit, and experience with students with special needs; CPI

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent required.
Educational Aide Permit issued by the Ohio Department of Education.
Prior experience working with students with social-emotional and behavioral concerns is desirable.
CPI training desirable.

Responsibilities

Assists and guides students to reinforce reading, language arts, mathematics, and other skills.
Works with students individually and in small groups to reinforce basic learning.
Assists staff in administering classroom exercises, tests and assessments.
Prepares and reinforces instructional materials to meet individual student needs.
Maintains records documenting student learning and performance.
Helps manage classroom behavior to maintain a safe, orderly environment.
Supervises students in non-instructional areas and during field trips as needed.
Supports parent contact to foster involvement in student education.
Assists students with special needs to maximize inclusion and participation.
