Job summary

Fusion Academy in San Mateo, CA seeks an English and History teacher to join our fully accredited, 1-to-1 private school for grades 4-12. You’ll shape schedules, design creative lessons, differentiate instruction, and collaborate with passionate colleagues in a student-centered environment.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree (advanced degree or teaching credential a plus) and is experienced with diverse learners, including those with learning differences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degrees or a teaching credential is a plus.
• Ability and willingness to teach a wide range of courses (English Composition, Literature, Language Arts, World and U.S. History, Government, Economics, Humanities, and Electives) with curriculum and resources provided.
• Experience working with students, including those with learning differences, neurodiversity, accelerated learning needs, and/or mental health challenges.
• Mentoring experience and a passion for social-emotional learning.
• Outgoing, adaptable, and eager to thrive in a dynamic, student-centered environment.
• Skilled with technology, curious about innovation, and open to learning new tools.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
