Job summary

Douglas County School District is seeking an Educational Assistant (EA IV) to provide 1:1 support for a student with an IEP, BIP, and HCP at Gold Rush Elementary in Parker, Colorado.

This Regular, on-site position works 37.5 hours per week during a typical school calendar, with a 0.94 FTE and a daily focus on safety, instruction access, and positive behavior supports. Responsibilities include data collection and collaboration with the Special Education Teacher.

Qualifications

• Follow written and verbal instructions for implementing IEPs, health plans, and behavior protocols.
• Manage and respond to complex student behaviors.
• Assist students with personal care, toileting, and mobility (with training).

Responsibilities

• Collect and accurately record data on academic, behavioral, social, and functional goals, reporting progress to the Special Education Teacher daily/weekly.
• Report progress to the Special Education Teacher daily/weekly.
• Provide direct 1:1 support in general education and special education settings.
• Implement Behavioral Intervention Plan and crisis management strategies consistently across settings.
