Job summary

Northeast Arc is seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide 1:1 direct care for an individual in the Burlington area. The role supports daily activities, goal setting, skill development, and community participation, fostering independence and inclusion.

The DSP will build a supportive relationship, deliver care in home and community settings, coordinate with nursing staff, and maintain documentation, with a schedule of Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–3:00 PM and pay rate of

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience supporting individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred.
• Valid MA driver’s license required and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and provide physical assistance as needed.
• CPR/First Aid and MAP certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 direct care and support in home and community settings.
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility support.
• Help the individual achieve personal goals and develop life skills.
• Encourage community participation and meaningful activities.
• Build a respectful, empowering relationship with the individual.
• Provide transportation to appointments and activities.
• Administer medications per agency policies and MAP regulations.
• Complete required documentation and coordinate with nursing staff.
