The Judge Group is seeking a compassionate Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to provide direct 1:1 behavioral and emotional support to a student in a specialized educational setting. The role involves collaborating with educators, behavioral specialists, and support staff to help the student succeed academically, socially, emotionally, and behaviorally.

The candidate should have a High School Diploma or GED, at least one year of relevant experience, strong communication and behavior management

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum one year of experience supporting individuals with behavioral, emotional, developmental, or mental health needs.
• Experience with children or adolescents in educational, behavioral health, therapeutic, or community-based settings.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and behavior management skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional during challenging situations.
• Reliable transportation and ability to report to the assigned work location daily.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct 1:1 behavioral support to an assigned student during the school day.
• Implement individualized behavior intervention strategies and support plans.
• Support students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development.
• Utilize behavior management, de-escalation, and crisis-prevention techniques as needed.
• Collect and maintain accurate behavioral and progress documentation.
• Reinforce positive behaviors and help students develop self-regulation.
• Collaborate with teachers, behavioral specialists, counselors, administrators, and related service providers.
• Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
• Attend required trainings, meetings, and professional development sessions.
• Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
