Job summary

Pennsylvania Counseling Services, Inc. is seeking part-time Behavioral Health Technicians to support children in home, school, and community settings under supervision. The role focuses on implementing individualized plans and building essential behavioral skills.

Starting as a BHT provides an entry point into the behavioral health field with opportunities for growth after gaining experience. A valid driver’s license and required clearances are required for this position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, sociology, education, criminal justice or similar human service field with no previous work experience required
• Valid driver's license and car insurance
• PA State Police Criminal History Check
• FBI Criminal Background Check completed through the Department of Human Services
• PA Childline Abuse History Clearance

• Supporting children in managing challenging behaviors
• Helping children build social and problem-solving skills
• Reinforcing positive behaviors and parental strategies
• Assisting children with integration into group activities
• Collecting behavioral data to support treatment progress
• Assisting with de-escalation when needed
