Dominion Care is seeking a 1:1 Behavior Aide to support a student with behavioral and academic needs in a Richmond, VA classroom. You will help with routines, behavior goals, and social-emotional growth, working one-on-one and coordinating with teachers and staff.

The role emphasizes following IEP/BIP plans, data collection, and timely communication. A driver’s license and related education/credentials enhance eligibility for this daytime, school-based position.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver's License preferred.
• Collegiate level education in behavioral science, special education, human services, or related areas preferred.
• Experience with at-risk youth and/or disabilities preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provides constant support and supervision to the student; stay in close proximity throughout the day in all settings.
• Works under the direction of the classroom teacher; supports academic and behavioral goals in line with IEP/BIP.
• Performs daily data collection on student progress and behavior; assists with transitions between subjects and classes.
• Assists with planning and organizational skills; supports student in completing assignments.
• Utilizes strategies to develop positive coping skills and problem solving.
• Fosters positive relationships with peers and adults; adheres to school code of conduct.
• Participates in meetings concerning the student (IEP, BIP, etc.) as appropriate.
• Prepares monthly progress reports for student goals alongside monthly invoices.
