Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking a paraprofessional/behavior aide to support students with intensive behavioral needs within in-district classrooms and standalone schools.

You will work one-on-one with students under IEP goals, applying PBIS frameworks and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. The role emphasizes de-escalation techniques, behavior data tracking, and creating a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Experience working in an educational setting implementing behavioral interventions for students with intensive behavioral needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support assigned student per their IEP goals with accommodations and modifications.
• Develop and modify behavior support plans as needed.
• Implement behavior support plans and collect data on behaviors and progress toward goals.
• Utilize de-escalation techniques and crisis management when necessary to ensure safety.
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment that promotes social and behavioral skills.
• Supervise students and coordinate movement between locations with safety in mind.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure consistent implementation of plans.
• Provide personal care support as needed and communicate with parents.
