Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a motivated Yard Loader to join our Aggregates team in Ohio. You will operate a yard loader to move, stockpile, and load materials, while upholding strict safety and quality standards.

Load trucks accurately, perform pre-op inspections, maintain a clean work area, and follow all procedures. The role requires reliability, teamwork, and the ability to adapt to changing demands in a busy, outdoor environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Operate a yard loader safely and efficiently to move, stockpile, and load aggregate materials.
• Load customer trucks accurately while maintaining production and quality standards.
• Perform pre-operational inspections and report equipment issues promptly.

• Follow all safety, environmental, and operational procedures while supporting team goals.

Conditions of Employment

• Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
• Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.

Work Environment

• Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
