Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking a Plant Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plant equipment, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operations in Indiana.

You will inspect crushers, conveyors, pumps, motors and other equipment; perform preventive maintenance; and implement repairs to meet production goals while upholding strict safety standards. The role requires strong mechanical skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams in a heavy industrial setting.

We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Plant Mechanic to join our team. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing plant equipment to support safe, efficient, and reliable operations.

Conditions of Employment

• Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
• Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.

Work Environment

• Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
