Job summary

Rochester Metal Products Corp. is seeking a maintenance lead to organize and oversee department schedules and activities. You will ensure direct reports follow lock-out/tag-out procedures and safety practices while guiding team members through maintenance procedures.

The role involves training and supervising technicians, monitoring equipment efficiencies, and maintaining preventive maintenance routines, with flexibility to handle additional duties assigned by Management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years experience in lead or related positions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).

Description

• Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of department.
• Ensures that all direct reports follow lock-out/tag-out procedures and safety practices.
• Train and supervises Team Members on correct procedures to be used when making maintenance repairs.
• Monitor all production and plant utilities’ equipment efficiencies.
• Supervise, develop and train Team Members on best maintenance practices.
• Ensure daily preventative maintenance routing sheets are completed.
• And, any additional duties that may be assigned by Management.

Requirements

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations as it pertains to plant operation and maintenance.
• Ability to understand and operate the systems and equipment used at the facility; and ability to identify issues and determine repairs that are needed.
• Ability to perform and analyze various system checks.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them appropriately; and prepare maintenance schedules.
• Ability to work on a team and cooperate with others; positive attitude.
• Ability to work without supervision; self-motivation and self-direction.
• Ability to pay close attention to details; good analytical problem-solving ability.
• Flexibility to work five days a week with mandatory coverage every other weekend

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
• 3-5 years experience in lead or other related positions.
• Proficiency in computer programs such as Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
