Job summary

Roush is seeking a Vehicle Test Engineer II for our Whittmann, AZ location. You will support test planning and execution for full vehicles, analyze data, and develop robust test procedures.

You will collaborate with Design Engineers and customers to ensure test readiness and accurate data collection, driving improvements across vehicle subsystems. The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field, 5+ years in automotive testing, and proficiency with Word/Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Automotive Engineering or equivalent.
• U.S. Citizen allowing ITAR compliance.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive systems design, development, or testing.
• Good understanding of powertrain and chassis system principles.
• Knowledge of fluid flow and heat transfer, systems, and components.
• Knowledge of basic programming and electronics troubleshooting.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Support test procedure execution for full vehicles on test track or road surfaces.
• Plan, implement, track, and document testing of full vehicles.
• Ensure test plans are adequate for system validation and test readiness.
• Utilize data acquisition methods to support testing of vehicle subsystems.
• Analyze test data to form conclusions and develop procedures.
• Collaborate with customers and team members; provide feedback and conclusions.
