Job summary

AVL Research & Engineering is seeking a Powertrain / Vehicle Test Engineer in Türkiye, initially in Eskisehir with relocation to Istanbul after the project phase. You will support development, validation and testing of powertrain systems, operate engine test cells, and coordinate multiple test rooms, ensuring data quality and reliable measurement systems.

Requirements include a BSc/MSc in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering, 0–2 years of relevant experience, familiarity with DAQ systems, and

Qualifications

BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
0–2 years of professional experience in engine dynamometer or vehicle test operation.
Solid understanding of internal combustion engine systems (air path, fuel, combustion, cooling, lubrication, exhaust).
Experience with DAQ systems and test instrumentation.

Responsibilities

Plan, execute and monitor engine dynamometer or vehicle test activities according to defined test plans.
Operate and supervise engine or vehicle testing using automation systems and DAQ tools.
Coordinate and support test technicians and shift activities.
Ensure setup, operation and maintenance of dynamometers, vehicles and measurement equipment.
Generate initial reports after data post processing.
