Job summary

Yazaki Europe Middle East and Africa seeks a Production Vehicle Team Engineer for its Başiskele, Kocaeli location. You will serve as the primary on-site interface to the customer during serial production, tracking and resolving build issues with the team and planning rework support.

You will coordinate with engineering, quality, and logistics to ensure parts availability, design reviews, and issue containment. English proficiency and a relevant engineering degree are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or Electrical-Electronics Engineering.
• Experience with vehicle electrical systems.
• Ability to read and understand vehicle wiring harness drawings and schematics.
• Knowledge of vehicle electrical/electronic system function and diagnostics.
• Understanding of EDS design and development process.
• Application of electrical theory.

Responsibilities

• Key interface to customer to provide on-site support during serial production build.
• Identify, track and resolve build issues with team.
• Plan engineering, quality, rework support for serial production issues and maintain build support plan.
• Ensure adequate material is available at build site for reworks.
• Attend customer weekly meetings and cascade information to team.
• Attend product design reviews in harness manufacturing plan.
• Represent Yazaki in the front line of the customer.
• Manage all aspects of serial production issues for Yazaki at Ford Assembly line.
• Ensure excellent support is provided to customer during serial production phases.
• Support vehicle builds and advises on EDS package design and systems function issues.
• Interface with Logistics team to ensure delivery of parts meets customer requirements.
• Liaise with customer manufacturing team for resolution of vehicle manufacturing issues.
• Provide initial containment action for job stopper issues where possible/required.
• Feedback to customer with design issue resolution (PR numbers, concern numbers, rework numbers).
• Interface to quality team and EDS manufacturing plants for resolution of quality issues.
• Investigate and create EDS design proposals for resolution of vehicle level build issues.
• Communicate and track the line trial / functional build harnesses with customer.
