Job summary

Yazaki North America, Inc. is seeking a Production Engineer for the plant in Turkey to track outputs, investigate root causes, and drive continuous improvement on the shop floor. You will work with foremen and supervisors to ensure smooth operations on ongoing projects with major automakers.

Applicants should have an industrial/electrical/mechanical engineering background, knowledge of IATF 16949, and English proficiency. SAP, Excel, and PowerPoint skills are desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering (preferred) or electrical/mechanical engineering.
• Solid knowledge of IATF 16949 quality standards.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• SAP experience is a plus.
• Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Track daily production outputs, investigate root causes, and lead continuous improvement on the shop floor.
• Bridge shop-floor operations with management systems by analyzing KPI metrics, driving improvements, and supporting audits.
• Collaborate with foremen and shift supervisors to maintain workflow across active projects (Ford and Stellantis).
• Translate shop-floor data into high-level presentations and reports for executives.
• Participate in Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and NYS activities on the production floor.
• Support project transfer processes and feasibility analyses, including travel for plant transfers.
• Attend daily/weekly/change-management meetings to ensure accurate information flow.
