Job summary

Amcor Limited is seeking an experienced engineer to support its printing and packaging operations in a global environment. You will drive manufacturing capability, industrialization for new products, and cost/waste reductions while collaborating with quality, procurement and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Experience in printing and packaging (min 3 years).
• Strong ink and offset printing background.
• Rotogravure printing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of foil stamping process.
• Willingness to travel.
• No military obligation for male candidates.

Responsibilities

• Support product development by providing manufacturing capability knowledge for design control on new launches.
• Manage new job industrialization to meet quality expectations; standardize processes for repeat orders.
• Identify and implement plans for cost and waste reduction; support production and quality teams; assist in customer complaints.
• Lead continuous improvement and procurement saving projects related to process optimization and material usage.
• Manage Non-Conformity Control System with Supply Chain and Quality teams to resolve quality issues.
• Handle claims for non-conforming materials from suppliers.
• Maintain communication between manufacturing, quality, development, procurement and suppliers; provide regular technical updates.

• Bachelor's/Master's degree from Industrial, Mechanical or Chemical engineering department

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Supporting product development department by providing working knowledge of manufacturing capabilities to ensure design control in advance of every new product launches.
• Manage new job industrialization processes to ensure new products meet customers' quality expectation. Standardize manufacturing process of new products for further repeat orders.
• Identify, develop and implement plans for cost reduction, waste reduction, increased throughput and general process improvement. Provide technical support to production and quality departments. Support quality department for customer complaints.
• Lead continuous improvement and procurement saving projects related with process optimization, raw material consumption reduction, reduce waste and cost.
• Manage the Non Conformity Control System by assisting Supply Chain, Customer Focused Quality and the manufacturing groups in the resolution of quality concerns and complaints.
• Claim handling for non conformed materials from suppliers.
• Carry out communication line between manufacturing, quality, product development, procurement and suppliers, keep informed all departments in point of quality and manufacturing process, give technical updates regularly.
