Job summary

Yapı Kredi Technology is seeking a skilled Infrastructure professional to design, operate, and optimize enterprise VMware environments supporting mission-critical banking applications. You will work within the Infrastructure team to ensure high availability, performance, and operational continuity.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of VMware experience, strong scripting (PowerShell/Python), and a deep understanding of Windows/Linux, storage, and networking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with VMware virtualization environments.
• Experience administering physical and virtual server infrastructure.
• Strong VMware knowledge: vSphere, vROps, Log Insight, SRM.
• Scripting/automation via PowerShell and/or Python.
• Understanding of OS, storage, and networking within IT infrastructure.
• Experience with system upgrades, patching, and hardware refreshes.

Responsibilities

• Design, operate, and improve enterprise virtualization platforms for banking apps.

Job Description:

• As a member of the Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, operating, and continuously improving enterprise virtualization platforms supporting mission-critical banking applications.
• Your responsibilities will include:
• Design, implement, administer, and optimize enterprise VMware virtualization environments.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and operational continuity of virtualization infrastructure.
• Perform system upgrades, patch management, and hardware refresh activities with minimal business impact.
• Monitor infrastructure health and proactively resolve performance and capacity issues using VMware management tools.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure problems and provide root cause analysis.
• Develop and maintain virtualization standards, operational procedures, and documentation in accordance with Yapı Kredi Bank IT policies and banking regulations.
• Participate in infrastructure architecture and application projects by providing virtualization expertise and technical guidance.
• Perform Proof of Concept (PoC) activities for new infrastructure technologies and virtualization solutions.
• Collaborate with storage, network, cloud, and security teams to deliver integrated infrastructure solutions.
• Contribute to automation initiatives using PowerShell and Python to improve operational efficiency.
• Follow industry best practices for virtualization, infrastructure security, and disaster recovery.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, administering, and maintaining VMware virtualization environments.
• Experience with physical and virtual server infrastructure administration.
• Strong knowledge of VMware technologies, including vSphere, vRealize Operations (vROps), Log Insight, and Site Recovery Manager (SRM).
• Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell and/or Python.
• Good understanding of virtualization, Windows/Linux operating systems, storage, and networking concepts.
• Familiarity with IT infrastructure lifecycle management, including system upgrades, patch management, and hardware refresh activities.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) and Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC) technologies.
• Knowledge of Hyper-Converged Infrastructure solutions such as vSAN, Nutanix, or Dell VxRail.
• Experience with VMware NSX.
• Knowledge of VMware Tanzu and/or Red Hat OpenShift platforms.
• Experience with composable infrastructure solutions (e.g., HPE Synergy).
• VMware certifications such as VCP, VCAP, or equivalent industry certifications.
