Job summary

TEI - TUSAŞ Engine Industries, Inc. is seeking Stress Analysis Engineers with 3–10 years of experience to join a GE Aerospace–TEI collaboration in Kartal, Istanbul, working on engine certifications and life analyses using state-of-the-art methods.

You will perform stress and life analyses, communicate findings to GE Aerospace customers, document technical data, and contribute to design optimization under guidance from senior engineers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Passion to learn or lead Finite Element Analysis (FEA) projects for stress assessments and interest to build or continue to develop a career to become an expert in this area,
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn,
  • Solid background in Mechanics of Materials,
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct stress and life analyses with the guidance of experienced engineers in scope of engine certifications and qualifications, design optimization to meet life goals, failure investigations and test capability assessment of engine hardware,
  • Effectively communicate and provide recommendations through the analysis project, prepare and present technical data, to internal and external GE Aerospace customers,
  • Document technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent engineering policies and procedures,
  • Become a member of GE Aerospace global team and share best practices among peers.

Job description

Turkiye Technology Center is looking for “Stress Analysis Engineers” from different experience levels (3 - 10 years of expertise in the field) and offering them the opportunity to work with state-of-art technologies and applications, specializing in aircraft and industrial engine repair processes, in a technology base located in Kartal, Istanbul which is being established by General Electric Aerospace, GE MTC (General Electric Marmara Technology Center) and TEI (Tusaş Engine Industries, Inc.).

Expected qualification, requirements and desired characteristics from candidates are as below:

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics or Aerospace Engineering,
  • Passion to learn or lead Finite Element Analysis (FEA) projects for stress assessments and interest to build or continue to develop a career to become an expert in this area,
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn,
  • Solid background in Mechanics of Materials,
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
Desired Qualifications
  • MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering,
  • Attend Finite Element courses in BSc and/or MSc,
  • Familiarity or expertise with ANSYS or other commercial FEA software (ABAQUS, Optistruct, Nastran, Patran etc.).
