Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in Istanbul is seeking a Sommelier who will curate exceptional wine experiences for guests. This role involves overseeing wine selection, inventory management, and staff training to enhance service standards across dining venues.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a luxury environment and possess strong knowledge of wines and spirits. Excellent communication skills and a WSET Level 2 certification are preferred.

About the role:

The Sommelier is responsible for curating exceptional wine experiences for our guests while supporting the Food & Beverage team in delivering the highest standards of service. This role oversees wine selection, inventory management, staff training, and wine sales initiatives across the hotel’s dining venues. The Sommelier serves as a trusted advisor to guests, providing expert recommendations that enhance their dining experience.

What you will do:

• Provide expert wine recommendations and food pairing suggestions, ensuring memorable guest experiences.
• Maintain and develop wine lists, monitor inventory levels, oversee storage standards, and support beverage cost control initiatives.
• Conduct wine and beverage training sessions for Food & Beverage team members to enhance product knowledge and service standards.
• Drive wine and beverage sales through active guest engagement and collaboration with outlet leadership.
• Ensure compliance with Four Seasons service standards, responsible alcohol service practices, and all health and safety procedures.

What you bring:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sommelier in a luxury hotel, fine dining restaurant, or similar hospitality environment.
• WSET Level 2 certification or equivalent wine qualification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of wines, spirits, food pairing principles, and current beverage trends.
• Experience with inventory management, stock control, and POS systems such as MICROS and Birchstreet.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
