Job summary

Oerlikon Group is seeking a Service Technician in the field of thermal coatings to install, commission and maintain coating systems for customers, primarily in Türkiye. The role requires regional travel (up to 90%) and interaction with international teams across EMEA.

You should bring a background in electrical/electronic work, be fluent in Turkish (C1) and English (B1), and be capable of reading circuit diagrams and mechanical drawings. A permanent position in a modern global environment awaits.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial electronics is absolutely necessary (control loops, analogue and digital signals).
• Proof of qualification as an electrical specialist is a must.
• Ability to read electrical circuit diagrams and mechanical drawings.
• Knowledge of control and regulation technology, robotics and pneumatics is a plus.
• Completed education in electrical fields (electrician, mechatronics, automation) or comparable field.

Responsibilities

Your role in our team

• Installation and commissioning: assembly, installation and modification of Oerlikon Metco coating systems and their sub-components (filters, coolers, robots, handling systems, etc.) at the customer’s site.
• Maintenance and support: maintenance, repair and telephone support for colleagues and customers.
• Customer training: conducting training sessions and providing technical instruction on our coating systems, including maintenance and operation, at the customer’s site.
• Troubleshooting: analyzing and resolving technical problems on our coating systems at the customer’s site.
• Documentation: preparing service reports and technical documentation for internal and external use.
• Area of operation: primarily in Turkey as well as all EMEA countries.
• Location: Preference will be given to candidates residing in Türkiye, particularly those based in Istanbul, İzmir, or Bursa.

Your profile

• Completed education as an electrician, mechatronics technician, automation technician or a comparable field of study.
• Experience in industrial electronics is absolutely necessary (control loops, analogue signals / digital signals, etc.)
• Proof of qualification as an electrical specialist is a must.
• Knowledge of control and regulation technology as well as robotics and pneumatics would be a definite plus.
• You can read electrical circuit diagrams and mechanical drawings.
• PC and basic networking knowledge are required.
• You are fluent in Turkish (C1) and English (B1).
• Willingness to travel (90%).
• Enthusiasm for technical challenges and a flexible, resourceful working style.
• Strong self-management skills, combined with an independent, solution-oriented approach to work and team spirit.
