Job summary

Dollvet Biotechnology is seeking a Senior Technical Procurement Specialist to lead end-to-end procurement of technical equipment and maintenance services for Production and R&D. You will translate equipment needs into documented purchase requests and manage supplier relationships on a global scale.

The role requires 3–5 years in technical procurement within manufacturing or biotech environments, strong technical knowledge, excellent English communication, and hands-on experience with ERP systems

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering field (preferred).
• 3–5 years of experience in technical/industrial procurement, preferably within manufacturing, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or medical device environments.
• Strong technical understanding of production and/or R&D equipment and ability to communicate with field/technical teams.
• Familiarity with maintenance, calibration, and spare parts management processes.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office applications (Excel in particular).
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement of technical equipment, machinery, spare parts, and maintenance/calibration services for Production and R&D departments.
• Work closely with technical/field teams to understand equipment functions and related maintenance and spare parts requirements.
• Review purchase requisitions for technical accuracy and completeness before initiating sourcing.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop relationships with qualified suppliers and manufacturers for technical goods and services.
• Prepare and manage purchase orders with correct specifications, pricing, and delivery terms.
• Ensure all purchasing records in the ERP are complete with technical specs, quotes, approvals, certificates, etc.
• Track order status, delivery timelines, and follow up with suppliers to prevent delays.
• Support cost analysis, supplier comparison, and negotiation to balance quality, delivery, and cost.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Finance to resolve discrepancies and ensure compliance.

We are looking for aSenior Technical Procurement Specialist to join our Purchasing team, focusing on technical and equipment-related procurement. This role sits at the intersection of engineering and purchasing: you will work closely with our Production and R&D teams to understand the technical requirements behind equipment, spare parts, and maintenance/calibration needs, and translate those needs into well-documented, efficiently managed purchase requests.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded professional who enjoys being on the shop floor as much as at the negotiating table, and who takes ownership of accurate, traceable procurement processes from request to delivery.

• Key Responsibilities
• Manage end-to-end procurement of technical equipment, machinery, spare parts, and maintenance/calibration services for Production and R&D departments
• Work closely with technical/field teams to fully understand equipment functions, their contribution to production and R&D processes, and related maintenance, calibration, and spare parts requirements
• Review purchase requisitions for technical accuracy and completeness before initiating the sourcing process
• Identify, evaluate, and develop relationships with qualified suppliers and manufacturers for technical goods and services
• Prepare and manage purchase orders, ensuring correct technical specifications, pricing, and delivery terms
• Ensure that all purchasing records in the system (ERP) are supported with correct and complete information and documentation (technical specs, supplier quotes, approvals, certificates, etc.)
• Track order status, delivery timelines, and follow up proactively with suppliers to prevent delays affecting production or R&D activities
• Support cost analysis, supplier comparison, and negotiation processes to ensure the best balance of quality, delivery, and cost
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Finance teams to resolve any discrepancies (invoice, delivery, non-conformance, etc.)
• Contribute to continuous improvement of technical procurement processes and documentation standards
• Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering field (preferred)
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in technical/industrial procurement, preferably within a manufacturing, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or medical device environment
• Strong technical understanding of production and/or R&D equipment, and the ability to communicate effectively with field/technical teams
• Familiarity with maintenance, calibration, and spare parts management processes
• Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office applications (Excel in particular)
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and documentation accuracy
• Good negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional language skills are a plus
• Ability to work cross-functionally and take initiative in a fast-paced environment
