Dollvet Biyoteknoloji is looking for a Senior Procurement Specialist to join our Purchasing team. This role is central to how we source the raw materials, consumables, and laboratory/production equipment that our biotechnology operations depend on.

We are specifically looking for someone with atechnical or scientific backgroundwho can engage confidently with raw materials and devices at a working level — understanding specifications, evaluating alternative suppliers, and speaking the same language as our R&D, quality, and production teams. This is not a purely administrative purchasing role; it requires someone comfortable being close to the lab/production floor and asking the right technical questions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement of raw materials, consumables, and equipment used in biotechnology R&D and production processes
• Proactively research, identify, and qualify alternative suppliers/manufacturers, both domestic and international, for critical raw materials and devices
• Build and maintain close working relationships with technical departments (R&D, QA/QC, Production) to fully understand material and equipment requirements at a specification level
• Prepare, review, and interpret purchase orders and contracts for imported roducts, ensuring terms, incoterms, specifications, and delivery conditions are accurately reflected and understood
• Represent the company at international trade fairs and supplier meetings, building and maintaining relationships with existing and prospective vendors
• Conduct price research, cost comparisons, and negotiations with domestic and international suppliers
• Maintain accurate, well-structured procurement records and data (supplier database, pricing history, order tracking, lead times)
• Prepare regular and ad-hoc procurement reports with a strong emphasis on data accuracy and consistency
• Monitor import processes and coordinate with logistics/customs functions as needed for imported goods
• Track supplier performance, delivery timelines, and quality compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Molecular Biology and Genetics, Biotechnology, Bioengineering, Veterinary Medicine, Pharmacy, or a related scientific/technical field (preferred, given the technical nature of the materials and equipment sourced)
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in procurement/purchasing, ideally within biotechnology, pharmaceutical, veterinary, life sciences, or laboratory equipment sectors
• Advanced English, both written and spoken — required for international supplier communication, contract/PO review, and trade fair participation
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical product specifications and datasheets
• Experience preparing, reviewing, or interpreting purchase orders and contracts, particularly for imported goods
• Strong attention to detail and comfort working with structured data — Excel/ERP proficiency, disciplined recordkeeping, and accurate reporting habits
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for trade fairs and supplier visits
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and cross-functional communication skills
• Proactive, hands-on approach — comfortable engaging directly with technical teams rather than working at arm's length from the product
