Job summary

Siemens in Istanbul, Türkiye is seeking a Network and Cyber-Security Administrator to strengthen our Grid Software security posture on site. The role focuses on designing secure industrial networks and protecting critical energy automation systems.

You will work with cross-disciplinary teams, implement security measures, perform risk assessments, and contribute to project phases from planning to commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in Network and Cyber-Security.
• Strong knowledge of Complex IT systems and networks, software, hardware, and networking protocols.
• Proficiency in English; German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design secure industrial network architectures in line with cybersecurity standards (e.g., IEC 62443, NIST, NIS2, EPDK Cyber Security Competency Modal).
• Perform, develop, implement, and maintain system security administration on designated technology platforms, including operating systems, applications, and network security devices, in accordance with defined policies, standards, and procedures.
• Proficiency in security architectures and knowledge of risk assessment techniques are required.
• Defining, implementing, and maintaining OT-specific cybersecurity solutions.
• Preparation of technical documents, specifications, reports.
• Conduct site visits, deliver cybersecurity training, and provide expert consultation to stakeholders.
• Lead and support cybersecurity projects through all phases, including FAT, SAT, and commissioning.

This Full time on site position offers great opportunities for career growth. "Siemens Smart Infrastructure" – Grid Software; SI GSW is mainly focused on Development and Execution of Software Solutions for Energy Automation Smart Grid Products. As being the integral part of Siemens Grid Software Turkey, Grid Control Engineering group is mainly focused on Software Solution & Implementation of Grid Control segment product. To accomplish the mission of the group, the candidate will perform as a Network and Cyber-Security Administrator for projects in Grid Software Area.

What are my responsibilities?

What do I need to qualify for this job?

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical-Electronics Engineering or similar fields
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a Network and Cyber-Security
• Strong knowledge of Complex IT systems and networks, software, hardware, and networking protocols
• Strong knowledge of Endpoint Security, Application Control, Device Control Solutions,
• Strong knowledge of networking (Switch, Firewall, Router Configuration), systems integration, applications and operating system hardening & cybersecurity
• Strong knowledge of Network Monitoring Systems administration, installation & configuration
• Experience in Linux, Unix and Windows operating systems and platforms in an enterprise environment
• Experience in designing, deploying, and implementing core router / switch / firewall & security and data center networks in accordance with industry best practices
• Experience in routing protocols and WAN technologies including MPLS, DMVPN
• Hands-on experience with vulnerability analyzing and penetration testing tools.
• Knowledge about ICs related standard and regulations (e.g., IEC62443, NIS2, CRA, EPDK Cyber Security Maturity Modal etc.)
• Relevant certifications (CCNA, NSE4, CISA, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, etc.) are a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving aptitude and analytical skills
• Strong communication skills and able to work with multidisciplinary teams
• Self-motivated, able to work in an independent manner and eager to take initiatives
• Professional Working Proficiency in English is a must and German is a plus
