Job summary

Eaton in Ankara, on-site, seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join the R&D Aftermarket Services team supporting design, testing, and optimization of retrofit solutions for Low Voltage and Medium Voltage systems. You will work with cross-functional teams across EMEA and travel to the Netherlands as needed.

The role emphasizes DFSS, lifecycle management, and strong 3D CAD skills, with a focus on continuous improvement and independence in a matrix environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical industry/ mechanical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop standardized mechanical retrofit design solutions for Aftermarket Low Voltage and Medium Voltage systems.
• Support business growth across the installed customer base.
• Defining new maintenance, upgrade, and digital service packages.
• Work with Marketing and service operations teams.
• Support field service teams with engineering expertise.
• Resolve complex technical issues and escalations.
• Provide root cause analysis for failures and reliability problems.
• Define technical specifications and create concept design options.
• Validate design concepts through engineering calculations and simulations.
• Perform detailed mechanical design and prepare final design documentation.
• Participate in laboratory testing and certification activities.
• Release finalized and certified designs for production.
• Collaborate within an international R&D team across multiple countries.
• Coordinate with laboratories, grid companies, EMEA CSUs, production facilities, and suppliers.
• Contribute to building and maintaining a knowledge management and learning platform.
• Work on site in Ankara while collaborating remotely with teams in the Netherlands and India.
