Job summary

Eaton Group in Turkey seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to deliver standard engineering outputs and develop customer-specific mechanical solutions aligned with requirements, standards, and manufacturing capabilities. You will maintain accurate BOMs, 3D models, and drawings in PLM/PDM systems and SAP.

Responsibilities include driving customer approvals, drafting technical docs, performing FMEA, and collaborating across engineering and supply chain to improve processes and reliability.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Mechanical, Electromechanical or Mechatronics engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of MV switchgear mechanical design experience.
• Experience using Inventor, Creo Direct Modeling or SolidWorks for 3D CAD.
• Familiarity with PLM/PDM systems (Model Manager, Enovia, SolidWorks PDM).
• Knowledge of IEC 62271 standards and related safety/regulatory guidelines.
• Understanding of sheet metal, machining, welding manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of power distribution and electrical infrastructure.
• Understanding of MV power distribution mechanical interlocks.
• Strong technical English communication skills (written & spoken).
• Excellent organization, time management and planning abilities.
• Proficient with office software; ability to analyze and solve problems.
• Ability to work in international, matrix environments.
• Awareness of applicable procedures, rules, standards and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide standard mechanical engineering deliverables and develop customer-specific solutions.
• Maintain BOMs, 3D models and drawings in PLM/PDM and SAP.
• Coordinate for customer approvals and prepare technical documentation.
• Support Design and Process FMEA to mitigate risks and improve reliability.
• Investigate issues and drive process improvements with management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering, order management and supply chain.
• Document activities and ensure traceability and data integrity.
• Deliver 3D CAD designs, drawings and internal documentation.
• Monitor industry best practices and implement approved improvements.
