Job summary

Asian Development Bank seeks a Principal Programs Officer for its Türkiye Resident Mission in Ankara. The role focuses on country programming, portfolio monitoring, knowledge management, and government partner coordination, with duties spanning climate financing, private sector development, and regional cooperation.

Strong leadership and reporting capabilities are essential. The position requires a master’s degree (or equivalent) with extensive experience in country programming and supervisory

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in engineering, economics, finance, public administration or related fields (or Bachelor's with 5+ years of relevant experience).
• At least 10 years of work experience in country programming, portfolio monitoring, knowledge management, and coordination with government and development partners; 6+ years supervisory experience.
• Proficiency in English and Turkish; experience with Türkiye-specific climate, private sector and regional cooperation issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead country programming, integrated country program and portfolio monitoring reports.
• Coordinate government and development partner engagement and relationship management.
• Support knowledge management, sector studies, and co-financed programming operations.
• Prepare regular reports on grant and technical assistance processing; oversee background reports and aide-memoires.
• Provide inputs on new projects and ensure timely, high-quality outputs.

Education

Master's degree or equivalent in engineering, economics, finance, public administration
