Job summary

Mindpicked is seeking a Deputy General Manager of Operations & Maintenance for a leading energy company in Turkey. The role focuses on optimizing power plant operations and maintenance to ensure peak performance.

The candidate will manage procurement, budgeting, and KPI-driven performance, while upholding health and safety standards. Requirements include a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree, 15+ years in the sector with 5+ years in management, strong English, and good command of MS

Qualifications

Graduated from Mechanical or Electrical Engineering departments of universities.
Minimum 15 years of experience in the sector (minimum 5 years of managerial experience).
Has taken an active role in power plant operation and maintenance operations and management.
Speaks English at a professional level, preferably French.
Has strong leadership and communication skills.
Has process management, project planning & management knowledge and experience.
Has no domestic and international travel barriers.
Has a good command of MS Office programs.

Responsibilities

To follow up the procurement of the resources required for the operation of the power plant, to ensure the most efficient use of the equipment.
To determine the activities that increase the efficiency of the power plant and to follow the practices in the field.
To follow up the opexes and to take remedial actions.
To prepare the power plant budgets and to ensure that the power plants are managed within the prepared budgets.
To follow up the power plant operations in line with the performance indicators (KPIs) determined by the Board of Directors.
Occupational health and safety in the countries where it is responsible.
