Job summary

Vodafone Group Plc is seeking an senior Database Architect to design architecture standards for open-source databases and lead high-availability and disaster recovery initiatives across on-premises and cloud environments. You will oversee DBaaS strategies, security, and governance while guiding cross-functional teams.

The role requires extensive experience in open-source databases, strong leadership, and a track record of delivering scalable data platforms.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years database management experience.
• At least 4 years experience in Open source, Bigdata or DWH DB Management.
• In-depth knowledge of database technologies, architecture, and data security.
• Advanced analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and define architecture standards for open-source database platforms.
• Lead the development of HA, DR, and business continuity for mission-critical databases.
• Architect and enhance database platforms across on-premises and cloud.
• Develop database structures and features to meet organizational needs.
• Mentor opensource database teams and govern DB architectures on Kubernetes/OpenShift.
