Job summary

Intertek is seeking a Senior Welding Inspector to oversee and ensure compliance with welding procedures and standards on a major offshore pipelay operation aboard a lay barge.

The role requires 15+ years of welding inspection experience in offshore oil & gas, 10+ years as client representative, and certifications CSWIP 3.2/3.1, IWE/IWI-C or equivalent. Fluency in English and offshore survival certification are essential.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in welding inspection on offshore oil & gas projects.
• 10+ years as Client representative in offshore contexts.
• CSWIP 3.2 / 3.1, IWE / IWI-C or equivalent international welding inspection certification.

Responsibilities

• Monitor welding activities to ensure compliance with WPS, project specs, and international codes.
• Review welding procedures, welder qualifications, and consumable handling.
• Conduct visual inspection of welds and coordinate with NDE team for evaluations.
• Ensure traceability of materials and welding consumables.
• Prepare and maintain detailed inspection reports and documentation.
• Liaise with client representatives and offshore welding personnel.
