Job summary

Intertek seeks qualified NDT Inspectors to support offshore pipeline welding on a laybarge-based pipelay campaign. You will supervise NDT activities (UT, PAUT-TOFD, MT, PT) and ensure coverage aligns with ITP and client requirements.

The role requires 10–15 years offshore NDT experience in pipeline projects, certification to ISO 9712 UT/PAUT/TOFD/MT/PT, and offshore survival qualifications. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 10-15 years’ offshore NDT inspection experience in pipeline projects.
• 10 years’ experience as Client representative.
• Valid certification in UT, PAUT, TOFD, MT, PT to ISO 9712.
• Familiar with offshore welding processes, laybarge NDT practices, and inspection documentation.
• Excellent communication and documentation/reporting skills.
• Offshore survival and medical certification (valid BOSIET/FOET with CA-EBS, OGUK or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Supervise NDT activities (UT, PAUT-TOFD, MT, PT) in accordance with project-specific procedures and applicable standards.
• Ensure inspection coverage aligns with ITP and client requirements.
• Review and interpret NDT results, raising non-conformities where applicable.
• Coordinate closely with welding and coating teams to support production workflow.
• Ensure calibration of NDT equipment and maintain records of all inspections.
