Job summary

Intertek Italia is seeking an experienced Subsea Welding Inspector to support a major offshore EPC fabrication project. You will act as the Client's representative, overseeing welding, fabrication, inspection, testing, and quality documentation to ensure compliance with project specs and international codes across the fabrication process.

The role requires a CSWIP 3.2 certification (3.1 may be considered for highly experienced candidates), at least 4 years as a Client Welding Inspector on

Qualifications

• CSWIP 3.2 certification preferred (CSWIP 3.1 may be considered for highly experienced candidates).
• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Client Welding Inspector on offshore or subsea projects.
• Proven experience on large EPC fabrication projects within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Solid understanding of pressure testing and hydrotesting activities.
• Practical experience with flange management throughout fabrication and testing phases.
• Excellent knowledge of welding inspection practices and NDT methods.
• Experience reviewing MRBs, quality dossiers, NCRs, and final documentation.
• Ability to interpret fabrication drawings, isometrics, P&IDs, weld maps, and technical specifications.
• Strong knowledge of international standards and codes such as ASME, API, ISO, DNV, and project-specific requirements.
• Experience with carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex, and other materials commonly used in subsea fabrication.
• Strong reporting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Oversee welding, fabrication, inspection, testing, and quality documentation activities.
• Act as the Client's representative, ensuring adherence to project specifications and standards.
• Ensure full compliance with international codes and project requirements throughout fabrication.
• Review MRBs, quality dossiers, NCRs, and final documentation.
• Interpret fabrication drawings, isometrics, P&IDs, weld maps, and technical specs.
