Job summary

VavaCars is shaping the future of the used-car market in Turkey. We seek a senior, hands-on data leader to own data science, data engineering and analytics, delivering production models and pipelines while serving as the data voice at the executive level.

You’ll report to the Software Development Director and translate business priorities into a data roadmap, driving data-driven decisions across the company.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data science, data engineering or analytics with 2–3 years in leadership.
• Strong Python and SQL, with ML models in production and monitoring.
• Data pipelines and cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP/Snowflake/Databricks helpful).
• BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau for actionable analytics.
• Solid experimentation skills and statistics, including A/B design.
• Ability to communicate with senior stakeholders in English.

Responsibilities

• Own the pricing engine and ML-based vehicle price pipeline in production.
• Lead data strategy at executive level and present monthly updates to leadership.
• Run experimentation and analyze A/B tests to guide decisions.
• Build models beyond pricing for other business use cases.
• Produce regular pricing reports and manage price adjustments on schedule.
