Job summary

VavaCars is seeking a senior, hands-on data leader to own data science, data engineering and analytics. You will build and ship production models and pipelines and serve as the data voice at the executive level, reporting to the Software Development Director.

This role blends coding with strategic influence, measuring success by business impact and adoption of data solutions across the company.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data science, data engineering or analytics with leadership experience.
• Strong Python and SQL skills; production ML experience and monitoring/retraining.
• Solid data engineering: pipelines and cloud data platforms (Azure preferred).
• Experience delivering analytics to business users with BI tools.
• Good grasp of experimentation and statistics; A/B test design & analysis.
• Proven ability to communicate with senior stakeholders and translate tech to business.
• Professional-level English.

Responsibilities

• Own the pricing engine and ML-based vehicle price forecasting in production.
• Lead data strategy at executive level and translate priorities into a data roadmap.
• Design, run and analyze experiments; keep experimentation central to work.
• Build models for use cases beyond pricing in collaboration with other functions.
• Manage recurring pricing ops and ensure timely pricing reports and adjustments.
