Job summary

Medtronic in Turkey seeks a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to design and develop mechanical and electromechanical medical products across R&T, NPD, and RPE. You will apply strong engineering expertise to develop, launch, and sustain high-quality solutions that improve patient outcomes.

You will work independently and with a multidisciplinary team, taking ownership from concept to production release, including prototyping, testing, and design transfer while guiding junior engineers.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 4+ years experience; MS with 2+ years; PhD with 0 years
• Experience in mechanical product design including precision-machined parts, sheet metal, plastics and assemblies
• Strong knowledge of drawings, GD&T, tolerance analysis, manufacturability and verification methods
• Proficiency with 3D CAD tools such as CREO and SolidWorks
• Experience with manufacturing processes and collaboration with suppliers and manufacturing teams
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering activities across R&T, NPD, and RPE and create 3D models, assemblies, drawings, and docs
• Perform GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and predictive engineering analyses to optimize performance and cost
• Plan, support, and document prototype builds, testing, V&V, and fixture design
• Lead root-cause investigations for design/manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions
• Drive BOM management, configuration control, engineering changes, and design transfer to manufacturing
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers on tech evaluation and product introduction
