Job summary

TechBiz Global GmbH in Antalya, Turkey, is seeking a Linux Technical Support Engineer to join our web hosting team on-site. The role covers Linux administration, hosting stack support, and troubleshooting across WordPress, PHP, and web apps, with exposure to containers and virtualization.

You will collaborate with the infrastructure team to deploy and maintain panels like cPanel/WHM and Plesk, tune servers, and ensure security.

Qualifications

• Several years of hands-on experience in the web hosting industry in technical support and system administration.
• Advanced proficiency in Linux system administration and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Windows Server environments (including IIS, MSSQL) for cross‑platform support cases.
• Deep understanding of the cPanel/WHM ecosystem, CloudLinux (LVE, CageFS, Selectors), PHP configuration, and shared hosting constraints and workarounds.
• Experience configuring, managing, and troubleshooting HTTP web servers (Apache, Nginx, LiteSpeed).
• Strong grasp of web technologies, databases, and debugging complex web apps at the server level.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and network protocols.
• Ability to manage escalated support tickets and collaborate with peers to provide custom technical solutions for clients.
• Nice‑to‑have: Bash scripting, Python utilities, and Ansible playbooks for automation.
• Experience with WHMCS backend architecture and custom module integrations.
• Familiarity with high‑density enterprise server architectures and large‑scale account consolidation workflows.
• Fluency in English is advantageous for internal documentation and client communication.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain GNU/Linux operating systems and virtualization environments (OpenVZ, KVM, Docker).
• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot hosting control panels (cPanel/WHM, Plesk) in shared hosting environments.
• Troubleshoot and optimize web applications built on WordPress, Laravel, and related stacks.
• Configure and maintain network protocols, firewalls, and WAFs; respond to security incidents.
• Troubleshoot mail flow and deliverability with Exim, Dovecot, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
• Performance tuning of Apache, Nginx, LiteSpeed, and databases (MySQL/MariaDB).
• Support migrations, disaster recovery tests, backups, failovers, and caching/CDN strategies.
