Job summary

Innovance Consultancy in Istanbul is seeking a hands-on Senior Java Developer to design and implement solutions, lead code reviews, and contribute to system integration in a hybrid work environment.

The role requires Java 8+, Spring Boot/Spring ecosystem, RESTful APIs, and experience with Git & Maven, databases, and unit testing, collaborating closely with peers and business analysts. You will take ownership and mentor others, while delivering high-quality software in a dynamic team.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field; master’s preferred.
5+ years hands-on Java development with Java 8+.
Strong Spring framework experience: Boot, Security, Session, Data.
Experience with Git and Maven; unit testing experience.
RESTful API design, SOAP/XML; SQL and NoSQL DBs; JPA/Hibernate.
Analytical problem solving, OO design, data structures, algorithms.
Clear communication with peers, BAs, SMEs; ownership and deadlines.
Team player with collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

Design and implement software solutions; participate in system integration.
Lead code reviews, debugging, and testing of modifications and enhancements.
Contribute to architecture discussions and unit test development.

We are looking for hands-on “Senior Java Developers” who love programming, architecting solutions, and solving complex integration problems. The job is hybrid, we expect the candidates to live in Istanbul. Join us if you possess the ability to work as a member of a highly skilled team in a dynamic environment and participate in systems design, code development, unit testing, code reviews, debugging, integration, and testing of modifications & enhancements.

What Are The Required Qualifications?

Bachelor's Degree in a related field, Master’s degree is a plus
5+ years of hands-on Java development experience with Java 8+
Strong experience with Spring framework using Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Session, and Spring Data
Experience with Git, Maven
Experience with Unit Test Frameworks
Experience with SQL, NoSQL DB, JPA, and Hibernate
Experience with RESTful API design, SOAP, and XML
Ability to think creatively in problem-solving, debugging, object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms
Ability to clearly communicate with peers, Business Analysts, and Subject Matter Experts
Taking ownership of your work by meeting deadlines, foreseeing delays, and raising issues appropriately
Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting

Bonus Points:

Experience with Microservices, Kubernetes, Spring Cloud, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, Bitbucket, and Gradle is a plus
Working knowledge of CI/CD technologies such as SonarQube and Jenkins is a plus
Knowledge of cloud services such as Azure and AWS is a plus
Basic knowledge of JavaScript and HTML5 is a plus
Experience in Agile Development methodologies is a plus (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
