BİM Birleşik Mağazalar A.Ş. is seeking a Senior Java Backend Developer to build and scale core services powering its high-traffic e-commerce platform. You will own critical systems end-to-end and drive architectural decisions in a fast-paced retail tech environment.

The role emphasizes modern engineering practices, microservices, and AI-assisted coding tools, with collaboration across product teams to deliver scalable, secure, and observable services.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend development experience.
• Java 21 and Spring Boot / Spring Cloud experience.
• Hands-on AI-assisted coding tools usage in daily work.
• Experience designing and running microservices in production.
• Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design for complex domains.
• Event-driven architecture with Kafka or similar messaging.
• Relational databases experience with high-volume data (PostgreSQL).
• Caching and session management with Redis; rate limiting.
• Search/filtering with Elasticsearch/OpenSearch.
• Containerized deployments with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
• Observability, disaster recovery, and HA practices.
• Strong focus on code quality, maintainability, tests, and CI/CD.
• Experience on high-traffic systems (e-commerce, payments, etc.).
• AWS services exposure (EKS, RDS, ElastiCache, MSK, S3).

Responsibilities

• Contribute to end-to-end architectural design and set technical standards.
• Champion AI-assisted development culture in daily workflows.
• Develop critical services end-to-end and own them in production.
• Define service boundaries, data ownership, and inter-service calls.
• Design solutions meeting scalability and performance targets.
• Implement DR, security, and observability practices.
• Collaborate with product and teams to shape technical requirements.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring quality and maintainability.
• Mentor engineers and align the team's technical direction.
• Document decisions and reinforce knowledge sharing.
