Job summary

BİM Birleşik Mağazalar A.Ş. is seeking a Java Backend Developer to join our e-commerce platform team. You will develop and own backend services end-to-end, collaborating with product and engineering to build scalable systems using modern tools and AI-assisted development practices.

You will contribute to architectural design, ensure security and observability, and help turn requirements into robust technical solutions for high-traffic online retail.

Qualifications

• 3-8 years of backend development experience.
• Experience with Java and the Spring Boot / Spring Cloud ecosystem.
• Hands-on use of AI-assisted coding tools in daily workflows.
• Experience building event-driven systems with Kafka or similar messaging.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
• Experience with Redis caching.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for container deployment.
• Strong focus on code quality, maintainability, test automation, CI/CD, and observability.
• Experience with AWS services such as EKS, RDS, ElastiCache, MSK, S3.
• Experience with Elasticsearch or OpenSearch for search and filtering.

Qualifications

• 3-8 years of backend development experience
• Experience with Java and the Spring Boot / Spring Cloud ecosystem
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) as part of daily development workflows
• Experience building event-driven systems with Kafka or similar messaging platforms
• Experience with query optimization and migration management on PostgreSQL (or similar relational databases)
• Experience with caching using Redis
• Experience with container-based deployment using Docker and Kubernetes
• Strong command of code quality, maintainability, test automation, CI/CD, and observability (logging, metrics, tracing)
• Experience with AWS services (EKS, RDS, ElastiCache, MSK, S3)
• Experience working on high-traffic systems (e-commerce, payments, banking, telecom, etc.)
• Experience with Elasticsearch / OpenSearch for search and filtering
